Kamberg Valley Hideaway offers luxury self-catering accommodation on a 27-ha smallholding, nestled between Kamberg & Highmoor Nature Reserves in the Drakensberg, KZN.

Kamberg Valley Hideaway is located in a peaceful and tranquil part of the Drakensberg, only 35kms from Nottingham Road, 200kms from Durban Airport and about 450kms from Johannesburg.

Our dam is about one hectare in size and is well stocked with rainbow trout. Guests can also take a stroll down to the Little Mooi River, which borders the property and enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of nature and the sound of the flowing river.

Kamberg Valley Hideaway Accommodation

Our luxury, self catering cottages are all spacious, provide plenty of privacy and tranquility and have an abundance of outside space and spectacular views.

Forest Cottage - Sleeps a maximum of 6 people.

Forest Cottage is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, exclusive use, stand alone, luxury and spacious, self catering cottage. Open plan kitchen / living / dining area. Sliding doors on to a private patio / braai area. 

The master bedroom has a large and spacious en-suite bathroom - including a separate walk-in shower and deep oval bath. Bedrooms 2 and 3 both have direct access and share the second bathroom with a large walk-in shower. All bedrooms can either be made up with a king bed or two single beds.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The kitchen / living / dining area is open plan. The living area has a fabulous freestanding log fireplace and sliding doors that open on to a private patio and braai area. The patio also provides spectacular views of the dam and the mountain behind.

Sunset Cottage - Sleeps a maximum of 5 people

Sunset Cottage is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, exclusive use, stand alone, luxury and spacious, self catering cottage. Open plan kitchen / living / dining area. Sliding doors on to a private patio / braai area.

Both bedrooms each have a large and spacious en-suite bathroom - including a separate walk-in shower. The master bedroom also has a full-sized day bed, which can comfortably accommodate an additional child. All bedrooms can either be made up with a king bed or two single beds.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas stove, microwave and fridge/freezer. The kitchen / living / dining area is open plan. The living area also has a lovely freestanding log fireplace and sliding doors opening onto a private patio / braai area with beautiful mountain views.

Pet Friendly accommodation in Kamberg Valley

We are are pleased to announce that Kamberg is now a dog-friendly destination. Kindly advise if you plan on bringing your pets along when booking your accommodation. Each cottage can accommodate a maximum of 2 pets at the small additional cost of R100 per dog per stay.

All you need to do, is book your stay, bring your food, drinks, toiletries, charcoal and firelighters and enjoy your holiday at Kamberg Valley Hideaway!
