Experience mountains of joy and relaxation at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located in the Southern Drakensberg just 30 km away from Underberg, Treadridge Self Catering Cottage is set on 4 hectares of natural mountain terrain, part of a World Heritage Site. It is ideally situated within 5kms of Ezemvelo Garden Castle and is a hikers paradise. It is a completely off grid holiday experience with solar power and mountain borehole water available, so no load shedding interruptions here.

Drakensberg Guest House Accommodation near Underberg

Guests have use of an entire guest house which consists of 2 bedrooms with queen size beds in each. Hairdryers are in each bedroom. One shower and toilet bathroom is in the guest house and the second shower and toilet bathroom is in an out building called the "Pothole". Towels and bed linen are supplied at this accommodation.

The guest house has a fully fitted kitchen with gas stove and oven, a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. As well as all necessary crockery, cutlery, pots and utensils. There is a 6 seater dining room table and chairs, a lounge with 2 sofas, a cast iron fireplace, a Smart TV and DSTV basic package. 10GB of WiFi is given free of charge for the entire guest house each day you stay.

Benches and seating spots are scattered around the property, allowing for relaxing sightseeing of all the mountain views and scenery. A braai/BBQ facility is available on request. The guest house is equipped with a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit.

Guests are allowed to walk the mountain at their own risk. We do have a small pond but no fishing or swimming is allowed in it.

The nearby surroundings offer local sporting facilities (golf, tennis, swimming pools, river tubing etc.), restaurants and nature trails. These activities will need to be arranged by the guest with those relevant establishments prior to visiting them as they do not form part of Treadridge’s facilities/amenities. Use there of will be solely at the discretion and availability of those establishments. Treadridge Self Catering Cottage will provide the contact information for our guests to make contact with these establishments.
